They have combined over 37 years working in the field and both have over 45 years lived experiences.
Dora Dantzler-Wright is the Executive Director of Chicago Recovering Communities Coalition.
She is a person in long term recovery 30years from SUD and mental illness. She works as a private consultant to Recovery Residences in the State of Illinois and a longtime advocate to put a face on recovery and organize the Recovery community. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity College and University in 2003. She is currently licensed in the State of Illinois as a CADC-Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, NCRS- National Certified Recovery Specialist, CPRS- Certified Peer Recovery Specialist. She is a current Board Member of Illinois Association of Extended Care and Polished Nail School & Boutique. Her work includes 20 years’ experience starting in 1989 at Mt Sinai Hospital/Compcare Programs. She had worked extensively with women and children in residential inpatient, Project Safe with women in early recovery to help improve outcomes and reunify with their children in Recovery. She served on the Board of NARR National Alliance of Recovery Residences from 2016-2018. She was a member of the 1st ROSC Committee under the leadership of Theodora -Binion Taylor. She was a guest lecturer at Aurora College- Drugs and the Human Behavior in 2011. Past class Instructor at Haymarket Center for Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors in 2015-2017. She is a recovery coach and advocate in the state of Illinois.
Mr. Wright is also a current member of (IAEC) Illinois Association of Extended Care, and possesses a credential National Certified Recovery Specialist (NCRS) certificate and also holds a Recovery Coach certificate through Governor State University.
