Dear Recovery Community Members,
We are thrilled to announce that Faces & Voices of Recovery has selected the Chicago Recovering Communities Coalition (CRCC) and the Northern Illinois Recovery Community Organization (NIRCO), two Recovery Community Organizations in Illinois, to host the highly anticipated 2024 Rally for Recovery Hub Event. This prestigious event will bring together local recovery communities in Illinois and across America to commemorate the accomplishments and journeys of individuals and families in recovery.
For over 30 years, the month of September has been dedicated to celebrating recovery across the United States. During this time, local organizations and communities join forces to organize recovery celebrations as part of the Recovery Month observation. These activities serve as platforms for public education, shedding light on the realities of recovery and combating negative attitudes, stigma, and discrimination.
One significant highlight of this tradition is the Rally for Recovery Hub Event, which has played a pivotal role in the nationwide celebrations for nearly a decade. As an esteemed member of the Association of Recovery Community Organizations (ARCO), Faces & Voices of Recovery identifies and selects an ARCO member organization through a rigorous application process to host this momentous event. The chosen organization takes on the responsibility of delivering a recovery-centered program that not only highlights individual journeys but also celebrates the collective recovery of families and communities across the nation.
After a thorough evaluation and deliberation process, it gives us great pleasure to announce that CRCC and NIRCO have been bestowed with the honor of hosting the 2024 Rally for Recovery in Illinois. Our exceptional commitment to supporting individuals in recovery and fostering resilient recovery communities has been recognized and rewarded with this significant opportunity. The final decision was officially announced during the June ARCO All Member meeting, where CRCC and NIRCO's exemplary work stood out among many deserving candidates.
As we look ahead to the 2024 Rally for Recovery Hub Event, we are confident that CRCC and NIRCO will organize a remarkable event that will inspire, empower, and unite recovery communities throughout Illinois and the United States. Our expertise, dedication, and passion will undoubtedly create an unforgettable experience for all attendees, showcasing the strength and resilience of individuals and families in recovery.
We are grateful for this opportunity and will continue our unwavering commitment to the recovery movement and ongoing efforts to combat stigma and discrimination. We also express our gratitude to Faces & Voices of Recovery for their diligent selection process and continued support in advancing the cause of recovery across the nation.
