Administrative Assistant
Salary range: $25,000 to $30,000
FLSA Classification: Full-Time, Non-exempt
Position Reports to Executive Director
At CRCC (Chicago Recovering Communities Coalition), we are dedicated to supporting individuals seeking recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in the Chicago metropolitan area and surrounding areas. As a peer-driven organization, we provide evidence-based peer recovery support services to empower our community members. Join us in our mission to impact and strengthen our community positively.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting CRCC's mission and values by ensuring the smooth operation of our organization. Working closely with our team, this role is responsible for providing administrative support and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing event logistics.
Handle general administrative tasks such as drafting communications, managing correspondence, and maintaining filing systems.
Manage office supplies, troubleshoot technology issues, and coordinate with vendors.
Support the board of directors by scheduling meetings and distributing materials.
Assist with program evaluation by summarizing feedback.
Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
Contribute to a Strong Organization
Represent CRCC at events to enhance visibility and gather insights to support our efforts.
Share ideas and feedback from external engagements to contribute to our ongoing improvement.
Promote CRCC membership and support advocacy initiatives.
Skills and Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
Strong commitment to CRCC's mission and values.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required; experience with databases and CRM systems preferred.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Willingness to travel within the Chicago metropolitan area.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
